"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." - Mae West
Since learning TTATT, the quote above motivates me to do all the things I had put off when under the JW spell.
do you beleive our spirit lives on in other dimensions or are we really just dead?

yay!!!
seriously one of the most watchtarded talks ever.
maybe one of our elders can post the outline??
Absurd, I never knew more depressed single people than when I was a jw. It was infuriating and exhausting as I didn't fit in with that group and was always trying to help them see how to be happy Solo.
how many jw suicides can you recall?.
is it more common than the rest of society?.
i personally know of 5.

I grew up with his older brother.
The brother of a friend of mine, in Florida, committed suicide a couple years ago. Not putting names as I heard one of his surviving brothers potentially work up.
One of my girlfriends had her brother-in-law committ suicide, leaving a child and wife behind. Fortunately, the whole family, including my friend, woke up a couple years ago (after shunning their apostate parents for years). Talk about an interesting story.
Welcome. Visiting Beth Sarim was helpful when I learned TTATT, so I get your point about Beth Shan ;)
The posting guidelines should be showing at the bottom for you to check out ;)
Congrats, Loubelle. Happy things are going better for you.
i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.
I was hoping to hear that Glen Partridge (from MA) had left. I know Phil Lofgren and Paul Schleppy left Bethel and went on to extremely successful careers (both are still JW). I'd love to know what happened to the Helander's, Solar's and Michael Taylor. Jonathan Ignacio didn't last long at betheL. He got in trouble for "flaunting his wealth" (Still JW).
across that stage tommorrow dressed in graduate garb picking up a masters degree.. .
.
.
Congratulations!!
i had a publisher tell me this recently that she felt that it showed disrespectful to the brother up there giving the prayer, like you're ignoring him or something.
what do you think?
and if so, any bible scripture or watchtower or awake backing this idea up specifically?.
oubliette, that just made me lol at work.
a few yrs ago i posted about my daughter in law ........ http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/202817/1/happy-and-nervous-for-my-daughter-in-law#.u2uf91fli-0.
she has been such an inspiration .
she has studied hard and next week will be recieving her associates of science degree with honors !
What wonderful news! I have known too many instances of JW home schooling not turning out well.
She's fortunate to have you in her life.
